Come celebrate the best in fiber arts! Friday: in-depth classes taught by experienced instructors (Pre-registration required. See below.) Saturday: Just $10 admission gets attendees into a vendor market filled with fiber-related items, mini classes, trunk shows, demos, coffee and homemade treats, door prizes and more.
Saturday’s class schedule includes mini courses on crochet, knitting, quilt techniques, rug hooking, spool knitting, weaving, wet felting, wool feather trees and more. No registration needed for Saturday classes, but they are first come, first serve. The knitting lounge will also be open throughout the day; bring your current project to work on in a comfortable atmosphere.

Quilt Historian & Appraiser Sue Harmon
Sue Harmon has over forty years of experience as a quilt teacher, shop owner, lecturer, quilt historian and appraiser. She will present “A Quilt Walk” – a trunk show highlighting quilts from the 1800s to present.

Fiber Artist Karen E. Goulet
Karen E. Goulet is an accomplished fiber artist and the Miikanan Gallery Program Director at Watermark Art Center. She will present a trunk show on the evolution of Star Quilts in Native American culture.

Reyna Cavandoli Earrings or Pendant

Learn the art of Cavandoli knotting while making a pair of earrings or a pendant! The two inch drop earrings/pendant are embellished with seed beads and an 8 mm semi-precious stone all tied together with knots. If you can tie your shoe, I promise you get this! It’s knot hard!

Slip-Stitch Success!
Mosaic Colorwork, Woven Stitches, Tuck Stitches, Imitation Cables and More

They’re turning up everywhere — and they’re here to stay! Students will receive swatches and hands-on guidance to create the slip-stitches of their dreams. They will leave with a new skill and handouts to help them remember what they learned. For intermediate to advanced knitters.

Beginning Hardanger Embroidery Bookmark Card
THIS CLASS IS FULL. WE APOLOGIZE FOR THE INCONVENIENCE.

In this beginning project the student will learn the basic satin stitch block, the solid star motif, eyelet, cutting and woven bars with center web. The small design will fit into a bookmark size greeting card supplied in the kit.
Kit includes the 24 count congress fabric, pearl cotton in size #8 (several color options), a tapestry needle, bookmark card and envelope, chart and instructions for the project and Hardanger instructions for each stitch in the project as well as many more for future reference. An extra piece of fabric will be included for additional projects on their own.

Quilled Earrings
THIS CLASS IS FULL. WE APOLOGIZE FOR THE INCONVENIENCE.

Join us and learn how to make the cutest pair of porcupine quilled earrings you have ever seen while trying your hand at a traditional art.
You will use an awl to poke holes in birch bark and insert porcupine quills. No experience is necessary, we will keep it simple for this introductory class. Due to pointy quills and awls, I recommend this class be for ages 12 and up.

Beginner Rug Hooking
THIS CLASS IS FULL. WE APOLOGIZE FOR THE INCONVENIENCE.

Learn the basics of this century old technique using the Oxford Rug Punch tool. Students will make a 7” project. All tools and materials needed will be provided for use in the class. Project can be finished in a variety of ways. Several finishing techniques will be taught.
