Join us for Bemidji’s 4th annual walk and events for Missing and Murdered Indigenous people.
The WALK (Facebook Link to Event):
Participants will Meet at Northwest Indian Community Development Center [NWICDC] in Bemidji, MN on February 14, 2020 @ 10 AM starting with an Opening Prayer, the walk will begin at 11 AM and continue to the Beaux Arts Ballroom where a luncheon will be provided, session will end around 2 PM Honor our Missing and Murdered Indigenous people. The NWICDC is located at 1819 Bemidji Avenue.
Events and activities associated with the Walk include (more may be added):
1. February 11th Skirt Making at Facilities Center Concourse in Cass Lake from 5-8pm, materials and sewing machines available on a first come first serve basis, email wenona.kingbird@llojibwe.org for more information.
2. CANCELLED FOR FEB 12 DUE TO POOR WEATHER WHERE OUR ARTIST RESIDES: February 12th- Drop-In screen printing at the Watermark Art Center, 505 Bemidji Avenue, Bemidji from 3-7pm. Drop in by 6:30pm to ensure completions. Bandanas provided or bring your own t-shirts, skirts or whatever you want print on. No charge or registration required for the bandana or event. The February 13th event at the NWICDC is still on.
3. February 13th- Sign Making and Screen Printing at the NWICDC in Bemidji, MN. Sign making materials provided. Bandannas provided for screen printing, but feel free to bring t-shirts skirts etc. to screen print, too. 3 to 7pm, 1819 Bemidji Ave N, Bemidji MN.
