Artist Statement
My work begins with the understanding that perfection is unattainable and instead of resisting that, I use it as a starting point. At its core, my work celebrates curiosity, enjoyment and the freedom to have fun while making something honest.
Ultimately, I see my practice as an ongoing conversation with beauty. Not the polished or resolved kind, but the kind that emerges through effort, curiosity and time spent paying attention. Beauty exists in the experience.

Artist Bio
I was raised as the only child of a single mother with two masters degrees in art. But not only her, I was raised by generations of creatives.
Making things was a part of everyday life for my family growing up. A proud multicultural heritage offered me a diverse education on our connection to the earth and the universe around us. I learned many ways to observe and interact with them growing up.
After high school I attended culinary school and food became my medium of choice for over a decade. It wasn’t until I moved to Maui and started painting again that I remembered my passion for creating outside the kitchen. The 10 years I spent in Lahaina changed my life beyond words.
Inspired by my own experiences and the observation of others, this exhibit is a glimpse into my ever evolving fascination with moments, where mistakes feel intentional, beauty feels temporary and nothing asks to be finished.
My goal is to enjoy the process of interpretation. Creativity is not only an act of expression, but also a way to understand emotion. Creating is a way for me to sit with my emotions and discover space for them to exist without explanation. At its core, my work celebrates curiosity, enjoyment and the freedom to have fun while making something honest. Blessed with this opportunity to share where I’m at so far. I hope you will find something you like in my collection.
