November 1st was the opening of the 11th Annual It’s Only Clay exhibit, featuring work by ceramic artist and 2013 juror, Andrea Leila Denecke. Thirty-four pieces from 23 artists representing 12 states were selected by Denecke back in September for this year’s show. “All cultures change over time, but they are changing faster in our age of globalization.  While change happens all around us, my particular interest is countries which are little known due to distance or governmental policy.  Isolated high in the Himalayas, the Bhutan is geographically remote and has only recently open its borders to visitors.
