Classes for Kids
Second Saturday Art for Kids is a monthly art class for kids ages 6+. Participants create a variety of 2-D and 3-D art, such as paintings, mixed media collage, paper sculptures and more! Early registration online or at the Watermark is suggested as a class may be cancelled due to low number of registrants.
Parents may drop their kids off and are not required to stay. This program is typically held the second Saturday of each month, but may occasionally land on a different weekend due to holidays or scheduling conflicts.
Classes for Adults
Want to explore your creative side? Connect with other Adults and teens (16 +) when you sign up for Watermark’s Artisan Series classes and workshops. Our monthly classes give participants an opportunity to complete a project while learning from experienced artists. We offer classes in a variety of mediums, including fiber, painting, mosaics, plus folk and traditional Indigenous fine art and crafts.
Early registration online or at the Watermark is suggested as a class may be cancelled due to low number of registrants.
Classes for Families
Family & Friends Create classes are scheduled around events and holidays that are naturally attractive to groups and families: Art in the Park, Dragon Boats, Valentine’s Day, Mother’s Day, Halloween, & Christmas, for examples.
By providing creative experiences, like “Family & Friends Create,” Watermark offers more than just painting or drawing. Various materials, perspective, dimension, plus the aspects of designing and revising a project builds confidence and promotes visual and motor skills in people of all ages.
Generally, “Family & Friends Create” is provided as a drop-in class with no registration required and one price of admission for your whole group no matter the number of people in your group. Kids must be accompanied by an adult. You must pay cash or check at the door and arrive by the time stated if you want to complete your project.
You can sign up for Watermark’s ArtMakers newsletter to have class information delivered to your inbox or watch local news outlets, Facebook and watermarkartcenter.org for upcoming classes.
