Watermark Art Center invites the public to the opening and reception for “The Peace of Wild Things” –with artist Joan Cox. The reception will be held on Friday, June 5 from 5pm to 7pm with an Artist talk at 5:30pm.

The Peace of Wild Things features lush abstract landscape paintings that “spring from the natural world, remembered and imagined, each eliciting a sense of place and the essence of an experience.”

The show is a deep appreciation for the natural world, remembered and imagined — its title drawn from the beloved Wendell Berry poem.

Joan’s work reminds us that the hum of the natural world is a potent remedy that can calm,
heal and nourish us, an important reminder of our place in this life.
