SUMMARY:OFFICIAL 57th Watermark Art Festival-Saturday
DESCRIPTION:The 57th Annual Watermark Art Festival will be held July 19 (Saturday 10 to 5pm) and 20 (Sunday 10 to 4pm) in Bemidji MN. With over 100 vendors\, food and music\, this juried fine art and craft festival has been a summer highlight for Northern Minnesotan residents and tourists since 1967. Vendors sell a wide variety of items including hand-crafted wood items\, ceramics\, apparel\, jewelry\, photography\, metalworking\, greeting cards\, homemade preserves\, soaps\, stained glass\, original paintings\, garden art and more! \nThe two-day festival draws thousands of visitors to Downtown Bemidji. The festival area has been expanded to include the Watermark Art Center grounds as well as the historic tree-lined Library Park across the street. \nEvery year\, many new artists join the festival. In addition to artist demonstrations\, there will be three stages\, entertainment\, music and food. Watermark Art Center will also be open for visitors to the galleries and gift shop. \nThe event would not be possible without our Event Partner Paul Bunyan Communications and the many repeat sponsors & friends of the Festival. \nOfficial Festival Page →

SUMMARY:Art Break: Eugene Dalzotto - An Artist's Path
DESCRIPTION:Join us on Thursday\, July 31 at noon for an in-depth conversation and Gallery Walk for the exhibit\, Eugene Dalzotto – An Artist’s Path. (First presented on JUne 26\, 2025) \nLongtime friend and representative of the Dalzotto Art Collection\, Patrick Lochwood\, will share more about Eugene as an artist and educator\, and the events and artists that influenced his life’s work. \nDalzotto was instrumental in the formation of Bemidji State University’s Department of Visual Arts\, was a master printmaker and a Fulbright Scholar\, studied in Europe\, and settled in Bemidji. He taught art and art history at the University until his retirement in 1984. He remained in Bemidji after retirement\, producing works in his home studio until the late 1990s. \nThe exhibit reflects his passion for Bemidji and features works spanning more than five decades of his life. Dalzotto passed away in 2009. \nThis event is free and will be presented in the Kaul Gallery. For more information regarding exhibits\, classes\, or events at Watermark visit WatermarkArtCenter.org. Watermark is accessible and there is no fee to view exhibits or to visit the retail gallery. Regular hours are Monday – Saturday from 10am to 5pm.
