SUMMARY:Intercultural Creative Circle February 4
DESCRIPTION:Intercultural Creative Circles are weekly Wednesday drop-in sessions for participants wanting supported assistance with guest artists or for those who just enjoy the camaraderie of working on their own project in the company of others. There is no fee or registration required\, however\, space may be limited depending on the number of participants. \n2026 February 4\, 11\, 18 & 25\, 11am – 3pm\nGuest Artist: Sharon Nordrum \nSharon Nordrum\, Red Lake Enrollee\, has always been drawn to art and creating.  After her employer went out of business in 2012\, she began to think about the lack or actually the non-existence of the Ojibwe language in our area. She began by incorporation language – “Boozhoo\, Aaniin and Biindigen” –  into her art. She has since expanded by telling her stories and dreams on canvas. \nCurrently\, she is working more with mixed media art by incorporating bark\, parfleche\, sweet grass\, fibers and paintings into one piece of art. Her definition of art includes exploring\, growing and invoking feelings into her creations. \nThis activity is made possible by the voters of Minnesota\, through grant from the Region 2 Arts Council\, thanks to a legislative appropriation from the Arts and Cultural Heritage Fund.
