DESCRIPTION:“Minwaajimowinan – Good Stories” with Kent Estey and members of the Naytahwaush Community will be on display in the Kaul Gallery January 9 through March 28\, 2026 with a reception on Saturday\, February 14 from 3pm to 5pm with a musical performance by Doyle Turner & special guest. \nThis exhibit showcases artists and their families who have roots in the Naytahwaush area on the White Earth Reservation. Kent Estey\, the guest curator for this exhibit\, explains\, “Oftentimes\, the only news we hear about our little villages on the reservation is bad news. We are so much more than the bad things that happen to us. Our woods are full of amazing artists who do beautiful work\, and their artistry deserves to be shown in galleries and art centers. Watermark is a place where we can show our artistry. “ \nFamilies featured in the show include Estey\, Robinson\, LaVoy\, Bunker\, Keahna\, Burnette\, Mason/Roy\, and Littlewolf. DESCRIPTION:Urban Workshop in Watercolor \n\nDate: Saturday\, January 17\, 2026\nTime:  1 – 3:30pm\nCost: $150.00 includes materials\nAdults 16 and up\n\n“Claim Your Creative Seat” and open your inner artist with this Urban Workshop in Watercolor. Have you ever wanted to capture the energy of a city street or a charming café scene in your sketchbook or simply learn perspective on a scene?  This workshop is designed for aspiring artists with little to no watercolor experience. \nJoin instructor Darcy Brambrink for a supportive and fun-filled session where you will learn to simplify complex cityscapes into beautiful\, expressive watercolor paintings. We will cover the essential techniques needed to get started\, from basic washes and color mixing to creating light and shadow. By the end of the day\, you’ll walk away with a finished piece and the confidence to sketch or paint your own urban adventures. \nParticipants will receive all artist quality supplies to complete a 9 x 12 painting. \nMs. Brambrink is a member of the Minnesota Watercolor Society; the American Watercolors Society and her works are featured in several Central Minnesota galleries. \nAdditional Info to Participants: \nParticipants are encouraged to bring along a hair dryer to speed up drying process.  Photos of session are acceptable and encouraged. \nRegister and pay here →

DESCRIPTION:Saturday\, January 24\, 2026 | 1:00pm—2:30pm\n$28 member with coupon code FELTFUN / $30 nonmember\nKids 4th grade and up \nRegister and pay → \nStudents will tour exhibiting artist Kristen Anderson’s felt tapestries exhibit “Refugia” in Watermark’s Lakeview Gallery. Then\, students will follow the same wet felting technique Kristen used for her tapestries\, and create small felt pictures using their own designs. \nADDITIONAL INFO TO PARTICIPANTS: \nThe instructor will provide wool roving\, cake pans\, towels\, plastic sheeting\, felting soap\, scissors\, water pitchers\, 5 gallon bucket\, all covered by the materials fee. \nStudents should wear comfortable clothing that allows movement—sleeves may need to be pushed up to the elbows. \nMaterials Fee: $5.00 Paid directly to instructor
