SUMMARY:3D Poetry Workshop with Micah McCutchen
DESCRIPTION:NEW! 3D Poetry Workshop\nRegister and Pay here → \nExpand your creative skillsets when you combine imagery\, textured elements and/or handwritten items with prose to create 3D poems in a few hours with poet Micah McCutchan. \nAdults. Saturday\, April 25 from 10:30am to 2:30pm\nSliding scale registration: \n\n$10- Living Lightly\n$20- Full Fee\n$30 – Pay it Forward\n\nWe will examine Collage Poetry and one other form of 3D Poetry if time allows. \nCollage poems are poems formed by using words cut from collage materials\, like books and magazines. Poets may hunt down specific words or choose to create the poem as they go with the words they find. Collage poems often also include pieces of collaged imagery\, textured elements\, and/or handwritten elements. This style of poetry leaves much up to the artist to decide. It encourages both flexibility and the ability to incorporate non-word elements into poetry. Collaging can also be a deeply mindful practice and experience\, as it allows for slowing down and repetitive processes like cutting and gluing.
