Exhibit Artist Maggie Thompson has invited the community to participate in two drop-in Open Community Art Workshops.
 Maggie Thompson’s Exhibit “Dakobijige” →

Through the exploration and use of unconventional materials students will create their own small textile piece that will be put on exhibit in the Watermark. Students will be challenged to rethink what can be used to create textiles by bringing in their own found materials or to use ones provided by the gallery such as zip ties, pipe cleaners, film strips, wire etc.

The class will have a focus on connection through the configuration, design, and mobility in order to create a piece that behaves similarly to traditional fabric. Creative possibilities for this class are open ended, so come ready to step out of your comfort zone and explore textiles in a new way!
