The driftwood baskets will vary in shape and size based on the driftwood dimensions. Participants will start with a driftwood handle (approximately 8-10”) and an attached rim hoop. They’ll learn the process to creating and adding ribs as they weave the sides of their frame baskets. Weavers will be a choice of round reed and flat rattan, with the opportunity to add accents of dyed reed or local grasses. Finished basket will be similar to the sample in style and size (9”x 7”x 7”).

Instructor will supply all weaving materials, clip, shears, water tubs, and rags. Students may bring their own towels, spray bottles or aprons (in case of snags) if they wish.
