  • Adults ages 15 and up. This is an introductory course suitable for beginners who have little to no experience creating digital patterns or garment design.
  • Classes are taught online via ZOOM Saturdays March 9, 16, 23 and 30 from 1 to 3pm. The instructor will use email to share all necessary links with students prior to the first class.
  • Students will use their own digital devices from home (phone, tablet, or computer, or graphics pad). Basic, yet firm understanding of the student’s own personal digital device, email, and internet is mandatory to progress through the course.
  • Although a mouse will suffice, a stylus is strongly recommended for those who have touch screens. An email account is required for communication and access to the required online software applications (Zoom, Canva & Art Cow).
  • Registration Fee of $40 includes all 4 sessions plus one design on a made-to-wear garment. Register and pay online (this page). Scholarships are available; direct inquiries to Nokomis Paiz at npaiz@watermarkartcenter.org or call Watermark at 218-444-7570 to leave a message or speak with Nokomis Paiz.

Students may elect to attend the first online class in person at Watermark. Limited staff and volunteers will be on hand to assist with installation of software applications. No devices will be provided to students by Watermark and Watermark makes no claims that its representatives will be able to troubleshoot every problem on any device. KNOW YOUR OWN EQUIPMENT!

Prospective students are encouraged to attend Watermark’s reception for Tosa Two Heart on March 2 from 2 – 4pm. As the classes progress, students will be offered one-on-one opportunities with Two Heart.
