Class Fee: $120.00 includes all 3 sessions
Materials Fee: $5.00 – Paid directly to instructor
The classes will be held at private residence near Watermark. Participants will be given the exact address.
CLASS DESCRIPTION:
Join Watermark exhibiting artist Gillian Bedford for three classes of plein air painting along the beautiful shores of Lake Bemidji, at a local Lake Boulevard residence. Students will be introduced to fundamentals of landscape painting such as composition, color theory, creating a focal point, and more, while enjoying the experience of painting in an outdoor setting. Students who would like to take the class further will also learn about monochromatic, analogous, or complementary color studies and how this relates to the fundamentals of painting. Students will need to provide most of their own supplies for this class (see additional info for list). Watercolor paper will be provided with a materials fee. Easels will be provided or bring your own.
ADDITIONAL INFO TO PARTICIPANTS:
Students will need: Acrylic or oil paints, three 16×20 inch canvases, large and small house brushes, a cheap set of smaller brushes, Viva (good quality) paper towels, neoprene gloves, masking tape, 18×24 Masonite (or similar) board.
Bring your own or Watermark will provide: an easel, a palette, practice paper, water container, freezer paper.
