Plein Air Painting with Gillian Bedford

This class has begun:

Ages:  Adult – Ages 15 and up

Day/Time:  Thursdays August 11th, 18th, and 25th    7pm – 9pm

Class Fee:  $100.00 – 3 sessions

Materials Fee: $5.00 – Paid directly to instructor


Join Watermark exhibiting artist Gillian Bedford for three classes of plein air painting among the beautiful gardens at the studio of local potter and master gardener, Butch Holden.  Students will be introduced to fundamentals of landscape painting such as composition, color theory, creating a focal point, and more, while enjoying the experience of painting in an outdoor setting.  Students will need to provide most of their own supplies for this class (see additional info for list). Watercolor paper will be provided with a materials fee.  Easels will be provided or bring your own.



Students will need:  Acrylic or oil paints, one 20×24 inch canvas, large and small house brushes, a cheap set of smaller brushes, Viva (good quality) paper towels, neoprene gloves, masking tape, 18×24 Masonite (or similar) board.

Bring your own or Watermark will provide: an easel, a palette, practice paper, water container, freezer paper.
