Learn how to make a taniko head or wristband with Karl Rangikawhiti Leonard in this three-day, hands-on workshop. Materials fee is included in $100 registration cost. Some weaving experience is beneficial, but not required.

About the Instructor:

karl-speakingKarl Rangikawhiti Leonard is one of New Zealand’s finest practitioners of Māori weaving. He has exhibited his works in New Zealand and internationally, and has been awarded residencies in the USA. His areas of specialty are tukutuku, kete, piupiu, poi tāniko, and kākahu.
