Watermark Art Center invites the public to visit the Wild Hare in Bemidji to view work on display by young artists created during Watermark’s “Ojibwe by Design” summer workshop. The workshop was taught by exhibiting artist and middle school teacher, Sarah McRae (Red Lake Band of Ojibwe) over 3 days in June at Bemidji State University. The public is also invited to the closing reception to be held at the Wild Hare on Friday, August 16 from 5 to 6:30.

McRae taught students design principles, indigenous art history, and technical skills while encouraging them to focus on “filling space with intention”. The workshop was made possible with support from the Blandin Foundation and the McKnight Foundation.

The Wild Hare Bistro is located at 523 Minnesota Ave MW in Bemidji.
