Tipi Build – Drop-in Project with Rory Wakemup

Join Rory Wakemup and his team at the Rail River Folk School during the week of November 18 – 23 to learn canvas tipi construction.

No prior skills required. This is an open workshop for anyone who wants to learn or observe the process of constructing a life-sized canvas tipi. Rory and his team will give hands-on guidance for all ages. Drop in any day/time between noon and 4pm and stay as long as you want.

Wakemup is currently exhibiting his mixed media show Smart Wars – Fighting for Gaa-miinigoowiziyang  – “What we were given” in the Miikanan Gallery at Watermark through November 22, 2024.
