Reception for Harper Traditional Weaving Exhibit

Watermark will hold a special closing reception in the Miikanan for the Harper Traditional Weaving Group exhibit on June 1 from 11am to 1pm. You are invited to attend!
Weaving Our Community – Art as a conversation
We were able to conduct workshop sessions in several traditional Anishinaabe weaving and basket making techniques. They were lively experiences where quality work was accomplished by Ojibwe community members and some of their neighbors.
In this exhibit are works by Miikanan Gallery workshop participants, instructors, and group projects led by the instructors at other locations. The caliber of the work in this exhibit reflects on the commitment of the instructors and the talent and interest of those participating in the workshops.
