This is a playful, hands-on workshop for families and kids inspired by artist Ann Gorman’s exhibition Through My Lens, celebrating monarch butterflies and the world of pollinators.

Join us for a fun workshop inspired by the amazing monarch butterfly! Children will explore the life cycle of monarchs, create colorful butterfly wings, and make their own keychain or bracelet—each bead representing a part of the butterfly’s life cycle. We’ll spend time outside discovering pollinator-friendly spaces and learning how to spot signs of butterflies and other helpful insects.

This workshop encourages curiosity, creativity, and a love of nature. Kids will use drawing, writing, and quiet observation to connect with the world around them. Led by artist and photographer Ann Gorman, the session ties into her exhibition Through My Lens at Watermark Art Center, which celebrates monarchs through poetry and photography. Come get inspired by pollinators—and create something beautiful along the way!
