Plein Air Painting at Neilson Spearhead Center
Dates include 3 sessions on Saturdays: July 26 , August 2 , and August 9
Class Fee: $300 for 3 sessions
Class time: 4pm to 7pm

Materials Fee (paid directly to instructor) $100 or bring your own materials

Join local artist Gillian Bedford in painting the lakes and trees at the beautiful Neilson Spearhead Center. Students will paint the magnificent Northern summer and the special light it captures, creating shadows from trees and grasses.

Expand your understanding of design found in nature while using the perspective of viewing the lake through the trees. Painting with color will be the focus of the series while we explore how the lightness and darkness of objects create a focal point. We will also study color and how juxtaposing contrasting colors create vibrancy and bring a painting to life.

Additional Info to Participants:
Classes will be held at the Neilson Spearhead Center – transportation will not be provided.
