A metalpont drawing is created by pulling a metal rod or wire, utilized as a drawingtool, across a surface that is often prepared with gesso or primer.

Included will be a brief look at the history of metalpoint drawing.

Once used by scribes and craftsmen in ancient times and artists during the Renaissance, metalpoint is gaining renewed appreciation in the contemporary art world.
