Join Watermark exhibiting artist Aaron Squadroni and learn the art of drawing with metal, or “metalpoint”. Participants will work with various metals to create subtle and enigmatic drawings.

A metalpont drawing is created by pulling a metal rod or wire, utilized as a drawing tool, across a surface that is often prepared with gesso or primer.

Included will be a brief look at the history of metalpoint drawing.

Once used by scribes and craftsmen in ancient times and artists during the Renaissance, metalpoint is gaining renewed appreciation in the contemporary art world.
