Prelude Series
This performance is brought to you by Lakes Area Music Festival of Brainerd, MN as a part of a statewide tour comprising its Prelude Series. To celebrate their 11th season, and to kick off a second decade of programming, the organization created a String Quartet Fellowship. From an international pool of applicant ensembles, the Altius Quartet was selected as the inaugural ensemble. They will spend this summer in Minnesota engaged in an intensive rehearsal retreat, statewide performance tour, and numerous outreach activities on behalf of LAMF. In addition to this concert in Bemidji, prior July concert locations will also include Aitkin, Brainerd, Crosslake, Deerwood, Minneapolis, Motley, Nisswa, and Park Rapids. Two different programs will be offered. Visit the LAMF website to learn more: lakesareamusic.org/prelude-series
