This week has been a difficult one for our Watermark family. Early Wednesday morning, long time volunteer and board member, John Lembi, passed away unexpectedly.
John was an essential part of our organization. Our new building is a testament to the vast knowledge and the uncompromising vision he had for the visual arts in our community. John was an incredibly talented artist and craftsman in his own right. We will miss his knowledge and guidance, his uncanny ability to solve every problem we threw at him, his wry sense of humor and the ironic twinkle in his eye. This is a huge loss to Watermark and the arts community.
Our thoughts and condolences go out to his wife, Lorie Yourd, who serves as our board president, and to his family and friends.
