RECEPTION Nov 1, 5 – 7pm. AWARDS at 6pm. EXHIBIT Nov 1 – Dec 23.” It’s Only Clay” is a juried ceramics competition focusing on, and dedicated to, functional clay vessels. Submissions are judged in four areas: function, form/aesthetic, craftsmanship, and surface design.

Drawn back into his passion for photography during the advent of electronic cameras, Petersen resisted the departure from traditional film, but quickly realized he could do much more with digital techniques in order to share his vision of “imagery reality”.

While creating Iga style vases, Lambert envisions showcasing flowers in the vases. The coarse rough clay, harsh rib marks, dry surfaces dusted with ash, a line of glaze running or pooling, stout forms and heavy clay walls contrast the delicacy of flower petals.

Sue Rauschenfels’ For the Love of Trees paintings are created from the heart and rooted, grown and developed from a childhood spent exploring outdoor play. Her rendering of this new trees series using vibrant color, mark making, textural elements of collage and mixed media.

EXHIBIT opens May 3, 2024. Contemporary artists continue to engage with water as a subject and medium for artistic experimentation. Environmental concerns, climate change, and the impact of human activities on water ecosystems have inspired artists to address ecological issues through their work.
EXHIBIT March 25 – June 22. Detailed and accurate print making is painstaking and demanding. Larsen has been making nature prints since the late 1980’s when she saw the Smithsonian show, “Pressed on Paper” at the Bell Museum.
