EXHIBIT Extended through Dec 2023. The most successful works of art utilize design elements to hit an emotional cord in the viewer. These prints and ceramics were developed using principles of design to maximize connections with the viewer.
EXHIBIT Sept 8 – Nov 25. Reception TBD. Jensen is a painter, textile artist, and teacher working out of her downtown Minneapolis studio. Her work is an invitation for viewers to join her in a fantastical world of imagination that’s grounded in the often elusive sense of place, home, and shelter.
RECEPTION Sep 15. EXHIBIT Sep 9 – Nov11. Joyce Arndt was cut off from her cultural identity during much of her childhood. As a toddler, she was placed in foster care and became homeless as a young woman. Knowing that her identity as a Native American was portrayed negatively because of stereotypes and racism, she began to use art as a way to portray her people in a positive light.

RECEPTION: May 12 5-7pm. EXHIBIT: May 12 – August 26. M. E. Fuller Is a Minnesota visual artist working primarily on canvas and paper using acrylics, watercolor, and mixed media. Her most recent works depict abstract and energetic landscapes and mindscapes.

EXHIBIT June 9 – July 29. BOOK SIGNING June 10, 10 – 4pm. This body of work is a celebration and validation of the feminine in all its forms and in all genders. The exhibit is a fantastical story that celebrates her daughter’s journey and ceremonial right of passage into womanhood, and thus into her power.
CONCERT July 28 at 7:30PM. The opening concert of the third edition of Third Coast Chamber Collective Festival presents timeless works by the greatest classical composers: Ludwig van Beethoven and Johannes Brahms.

EXHIBIT Feb 3 – May 12 (updated). This show celebrates the women artists in the collections and their contributions to the art world. Women have been part of the history of art since the beginning. But women have never been accepted and valued the same as male artists.

RECEPTION & Book Launch Jan 20. EXHIBIT Jan 13 – Mar 25. Four years after “The Unchosen Ones”, R. J. Kern re-photographed many of the subjects of the original series. In some cases, the animal and its handler are photographed together again. In other cases, the child has moved on and replaced the animal with some new pursuit; a tractor, a chicken, a fishing pole.
SCREENING: 7pm Saturday, April 1 at Rail River Folk School. Discussion to follow. “A PLACE ON THE EDGE OF BREATH”, a short Documentary co-produced by exhibiting artist Shaawan Francis Keahna.
